The Indianapolis Colts Need some help to reach the playoffs, regardless of whether they are defeated Jacksonville Jaguars.
This means their season could end on Sunday, and the veteran midfielder Philip Rivers Wednesday conceded it could be his last game ever:
Here are the playoff scenarios for Colts at Week 17:
- Win / Draw, lose Titans (South Asia win)
- Titans win and lose / Draw (South Asia win)
- Win, Ravens Loss / Draw (clinch a wild card berth)
- Win and Browns loss / draw (Anchorage grabs the wild card)
- Beats and Dolphins Loss / Draw (Grab a marina wild card)
- Draw loss and crows, browns or dolphins (Grab a marina wild card)
Rivers, 39, had a solid pony season, throwing 4,005 yards, 23 drops and 10 interceptions while completing 68.3 percent of his passes.
They cemented the Colts center-back after they endured a year of ups and downs with Jacobi Brissette last season, but they will ultimately need to add a Privilege midfield player. (Maybe Frank Reich’s reunion with Carson Wentz makes sense?)
Until then, 10-5 Colts have a real chance of post-season work if they get some help. Rivers told reporters on Wednesday that he will watch results pouring in from across the league before the team kicks off at 4:25 PM EST on Sunday:
“My normal situation when playing the four o’clock game, I kind of flipped through a Sunday Ticket on my phone. So to say I wouldn’t do it would be a lie. I won’t consume it, but I will be aware. Trying to pretend you won’t know the outcome of these games may be unrealistic. But I don’t think our locker room should be consumed. “
All the Colts can do is tackle their actions against the Jags, in a game that might be the last Rivers.
