Due to the coronavirus pandemic, personal attendance at professional sporting events has been severely restricted for months. The bills were not allowed to have fans on the field during the regular season.

The team has not won the East Asian Championship since 1995, and Cuomo announced that just over 6,700 fans would be able to attend the team’s return to the qualifiers for the Wild Card game on Saturday afternoon. According to the team, the regular capacity of the stadium is over 71,000 spectators.

The lucky fans in attendance will have to wear masks and take a negative test for COVID-19 before the match – at their own expense.

„The football match is being held in the open air, which is much better than the spread of Covid,“ Cuomo said on Wednesday. „We believe we are the first country in the country to operate this type of pilots. We believe it could be very helpful for us going forward.“

Bills Quarterback Josh Allen, who set a passing record for one season at Bills this year, said the team was „extremely excited“ to have fans host the game.

„Please follow the instructions and wear your masks in the stands so we can host you the rest of the way,“ he said in a video on Twitter. „Go bills!“

The Bills will face the Indianapolis Colts during a playoff match in the Wild Card on Saturday at 1 PM ET. Officials said no back arrangement would be allowed.

Critics of wallet closures due to Coronavirus have launched a petition regarding the Change.org The team called for Como to be „banned“ from attending the play-offs. It got tens of thousands of signatures, but it looks like they are no longer necessary.
