Fracture: „Early Theme Park Entry“ to replace the extra magic hours at Walt Disney World

Since the beginning of the re-opening of Walt Disney World in stages, Magic bonus hours have been suspended due to restricted hours during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, it looks like this resort guest feature will never return – at least not in its previous form. Early Resort Guest Entry will soon replace the extra hours of magic at Walt Disney World.

As part of the celebration of Walt Disney World’s fiftieth anniversary, guests of a Disney Resort hotel and guests of select other hotels will be able to enjoy 30 minutes early admission to Which Amusement park, amusement park, every day.

According to Disney, the park’s new Early Entry feature helps them better spread visits across all four theme parks, while providing added flexibility by giving guests extra time early in the park each day of their vacation and at the park of their choice. Please note that guests require a valid entry and park reservation via the Disney Park Pass system to enter the theme park.

Extra Magic Hours was first introduced in the early 2000s as a free benefit to guests of the Disney Resort Hotel. Hours are edited as part of the park operations calendar, with reference to a specific park or time period (be it morning or evening) and time frame (from one hour to several hours). Guests will then plan their visits around extra magic hours to maximize their time in the parks. This new option, which has no official start date as of the date of publication, will allow guests additional flexibility in choosing which park they want to get a head start on, but this comes at the cost of reducing early admission time, down to at least 30 minutes of an hour.
